Project Goals

  1. Create a Visually Engaging Website: Design a site that reflects Certhis’s forward-thinking brand identity and stands out in the NFT technology space.
  2. Enhance User Experience: Develop intuitive navigation and user flows to ensure visitors can easily access information and interact with the content.
  3. Facilitate Brand Messaging: Clearly convey Certhis’s groundbreaking approach to NFTs, their mission, and services to attract and retain clients and investors.

Research & Discovery

Conducted detailed interviews with Certhis’s founders to grasp their vision for transforming the NFT space. Key insights included:

  • A strong focus on cutting-edge NFT solutions and technology.
  • The necessity for a clear, engaging presentation of their unique value proposition.
  • The need to build credibility and trust within both the NFT and broader tech communities.

Competitive Analysis

Analyzed websites of competitors and similar startups in the NFT sector to identify industry trends, design patterns, and opportunities for differentiation.

Key findings included:

  • A prevalent trend towards dark, minimalist designs that often appeared less accessible.
  • The importance of clear calls to action and straightforward navigation.
  • The effectiveness of interactive elements and visual storytelling in engaging users.

Insight: To differentiate Certhis, we aimed to break away from the conventional dark, technology-centric design. Instead, we focused on creating a more inviting and accessible user experience suitable for all tech backgrounds.

Design Process

  • Understanding Content and User Personas: Explored the content and objectives Certhis wanted to highlight and the target audiences. Developed user personas to understand their needs and how to showcase benefits effectively. This groundwork was crucial for demonstrating the value of the beta product and encouraging user engagement.
  • Sitemap Design: I designed and discussed a comprehensive sitemap with the Certhis team. This sitemap served as the foundational blueprint, outlining the website’s structure and content hierarchy to ensure clarity and alignment with the project goals. In order to outline the website’s structure, including main sections, pages, and subpages.
  • Wireframes: Created low-fidelity wireframes to outline the website’s structure and layout, focusing on content organization and user flow.

Implementation

Collaborated closely with developer to ensure the design was translated accurately into a functional website. Addressed technical constraints and made iterative adjustments based on feedback to align with the innovative nature of Certhis’s offerings.

Usability Testing was done internally without my input for this project but Certhis’s founders were highly satisfied with the final design.

The website redesign for Certhis successfully achieved its objectives, providing a strong foundation for their online presence. The project demonstrated the impact of a user-centered design approach and effective collaboration between designers and stakeholders in the fast-evolving NFT sector.

This project provided valuable insights into working with early-stage startups and highlighted the impact of thoughtful UX/UI design on achieving business goals in the NFT industry. It reinforced the importance of aligning design with both user needs and client objectives, especially in a rapidly evolving field.
